SEAN SEXTER, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC

Hello
I'm a Nashville native who came to Chattanooga to pursue my undergraduate degree in Nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and decided to stay in the community I'd grown to love during my time in school.
I decided to pursue an advanced practice career in mental health as a new challenge after many years in medical-surgical and mental health care. I know how great the need is, both in this community and across the country, and I look forward to developing my skills and experience to serve patients with mental health needs to the best of my ability.
My wife and I have one daughter and two rescue dogs. In my downtime, I enjoy cooking, reading, flyfishing, and camping with my family.
What I'm hoping to find in a provider role...
I want to find somewhere that I can make a difference in peoples live every day. I enjoy working with clients of all ages but love the difference that can be made in the lives of children and adolescents through early interventions and medication management. I believe that families are dynamic units that often require treatment and interventions for both individuals and the unit as a whole. I would like to be able to incorporate as many resources as are available in the community into the care of my clients to give them the highest chance of success in their treatment and in their lives.

I'm actively seeking a provider role in the greater Chattanooga area. If you think I'd be a good fit for your organization, let's talk.
